Job summary
A retail company specializing in women's fashion is looking for a Fit Technician in Montreal to develop quality garments and ensure they meet aesthetic and fit requirements. The role involves leading fit sessions, developing technical designs, and managing factory relations. Candidates should possess a post-secondary degree in Fashion Design and have over 5 years of experience in the apparel industry. Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in the apparel industry.
- Experience with fitting corrections and pattern-making software.
- Knowledge of garment construction.
- Proficient in Illustrator and MS Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Lead fit sessions and suggest improvements.
- Develop initial spec packages and tech packs.
- Communicate fit and construction requirements to factories.
- Measure and review fit samples before fittings.
