Job summary

SUEZ is seeking a senior Fire Risk & Safety Specialist to lead the implementation of its fire strategy in Canada. You will provide expert advice on fire safety to internal teams and review fire system designs to ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include conducting complex fire risk assessments, developing robust improvement recommendations, and engaging with stakeholders to drive safe, compliant delivery. Strong knowledge of regulations and fire engineering principles is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting fire risk assessments in high-hazard or construction settings.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, BS 5839, Approved Document B, BS 9999, NFPA codes, and BS 12845.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the SUEZ fire strategy.
• Provide expert advice on fire safety to internal teams.
• Review fire system designs, upgrades and proposals for regulatory compliance.
• Identify and address fire safety shortfalls and develop improvement recommendations.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure compliant delivery.
• Support investigations after fire incidents and determine root causes.
