Job summary

GeoVerra seeks a Survey Crew Chief to manage field survey work in Saskatoon, SK. You will guide crews, operate GPS and Total Stations, and liaise with Project Managers to ensure high-quality results while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will travel to project sites across Saskatchewan, mentor Survey Assistants, and support the adoption of new technology and best practices in field surveys.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in a post-secondary program related to surveying and geomatics or equivalent experience.
• Strong working knowledge of survey equipment and software such as GPS and Total Stations (Including Robotic).
• Experience with Trimble equipment and software, laser scanning and line locating is an asset.
• 2-5 years of experience in a Survey Crew Chief role completing construction and legal surveys is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead survey crews and coordinate field work with Survey Assistants.
• Coordinate field survey work with Project Managers, budgets, schedules, and methodologies.
• Interface with client field representatives and landowners and act as GeoVerra brand ambassador.
• Prepare field notes, sketches and data in required formats for different audiences.
• Provide training and mentorship to Survey Assistants and improve field processes.
