Job summary

Federated Co-operatives Limited in Regina, SK is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer with Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) expertise to lead the Process Engineering Team at the Co-op Refinery Complex. In this role you will drive safety, reliability, and performance across the refinery while mentoring and influencing others, enabling meaningful improvements in a complex operating environment.

You will collaborate with Operations, Projects, Maintenance, Reliability and refinery stakeholders

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience within refining/heavy industrial environments.
• 5+ years of FCC experience.
• Bachelor degree in chemical engineering or related field; P.Eng. certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering initiatives within the Cracking Complex to improve energy efficiency, throughput, reliability, and debottlenecking.
• Act as the site SME on units within the Cracking Complex supporting safe, reliable unit operation.
• Develop and execute mid-range process improvement plans using operational data, simulation tools, and performance monitoring.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship by reviewing process deliverables including simulations, heat and material balances, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve process constraints and implement safe, cost-effective improvements.
• Strengthen process engineering practices through internal standards, procedures, and KPIs informed by data, benchmarking, and RAGAGEP.
• Provide front-end process engineering support including concept development, design reviews, and economic evaluations.
