Join our Winnipeg Bridge team and help shape the transportation networks that connect communities across Manitoba and beyond. In this role, you’ll apply your structural expertise to complex, high‑impact infrastructure projects — delivering designs that support safety, resilience and long‑term community value.

Winnipeg offers the rare chance to work on projects where your impact is truly visible. Engineers here help shape the core infrastructure that communities rely on every day — and they get to see the results of their work come to life in real time. And, gives you more room to grow — professionally and personally. With a lower cost of living than most major Canadian cities, in Winnipeg you can build your career without sacrificing balance, stability, or the lifestyle you want.

Your Impact
  • Lead complex and standard bridge projects from concept through detailed design, ensuring high‑quality and technically sound outcomes.
  • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other civil structures supporting major transportation corridors.
  • Conduct inspections, structural assessments, and rehabilitation designs that enhance the longevity and safety of existing assets.
  • Prepare construction quantities, cost estimates, and documentation to support tendering and funding decisions.
  • Complete independent reviews and quality assurance checks to maintain technical excellence across deliverables.
  • Produce specifications and contract documents tailored for successful procurement and construction phases.
  • Review shop drawings and provide field engineering support to ensure alignment between design intent and construction execution.
  • Mentor and guide technical staff, helping grow capability within the bridge engineering group.
  • Support client relationship development by providing leadership, insight, and technical credibility.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and proposals that contribute to securing new work and delivering value to clients.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • A degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on bridges, supported by a Professional Engineer licence in Manitoba (or eligibility via mobility).
  • 10+ years of experience delivering detailed bridge designs, including projects with complex geometry and multidisciplinary interfaces.
  • Strong technical proficiency using structural analysis tools such as CSIBridge and MIDAS.
  • Deep knowledge of design codes and standards, particularly CAN/CSA‑S6.
  • Demonstrated experience in structural inspection, assessment, rehabilitation work, and field review during construction.
  • An ability to lead, mentor, and inspire technical teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues through thoughtful communication and problem‑solving.
  • A commitment to delivering high‑quality, future‑ready engineering solutions.
