Lead Electrician - Stock

Lead (Underground) Electrician (Stock Mine Project, Timmins, ON)

We need safety-focused, efficient Lead Electricians to direct/assist underground electricians in new installations and ongoing maintenance.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Project Superintendent, the Lead Electrician is responsible for planning, performing, and overseeing underground electrical installations.

Technical Competencies

• Thorough knowledge of all safety, health and environmental regulations as they pertain to the work and workplace.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Ability to install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Ability to test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Modules.
• Ontario Hardrock Mining Supervisory Common Core or equivalent experience.
• Electrical Red Seal Journeyman certification.
• 5 years underground electrical experience.
• Outstanding safety record.
