Job summary

Aversan Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive hardware development and verification in a hybrid work model.

You will lead product-level design, perform circuit design and verification, manage requirements with DOORS, and coordinate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver safety-critical electronics for aerospace, defence and space programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong experience in electronic circuit design.
• Thorough knowledge of electronic design, analysis, simulation, build, test and support processes.
• Proactive, well organized with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or perform the product level design, analysis and verification activities of a Hardware Development team.
• Perform electrical circuit design, analysis and verification activities, preferably using model based design (MBD) as a lead or part of a hardware development team.
• Perform trade studies in concept selection, product architecture design and analysis; electronics circuit (mixed signal and/or power supply) design and analysis.
• Develop low level requirement documents and manage requirement changes using DOORS.
• Perform or coordinate the tasks including creating test procedures, development / verification testing, documentation, resolution of technical problems.
• Hardware team focal for interfacing with customer and/or other functional groups.
• Conduct technical presentations and participate in design reviews.
• Collaborate with other functional groups as necessary to advance the product design.
• Provide support to manufacturing, investigate failures and identify root causes and permanent corrective action by working with internal and external customers.
• Provide support to task planning, preparation of schedules and estimates, metric collection and project statusing.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks through proper prioritization and schedule management.
• Develop verification plan and write test cases.
