Job summary

Little Wild Early Learning INC is seeking a lead ECE to guide a nature-based 3-5 year old program in a James Bay daycare. The candidate will train before the current staff depart, and work with the team to care for up to 19 children daily.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, 8:30am-4:30pm, starting September 21st, 2026. A valid ECE Licence is required; local candidates only. Salary is $23-26/hr with a $6 wage enhancement, plus dental, extended health care, life and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• CRC clearance
• First aid or higher certification preferred
• Experience not required but beneficial

Job Description

Looking for a lead ECE to help run our nature based 3-5 year old program. Ideal candidate will start September 21st to train prior to the departure of our current staff member.

You will work alongside our current ECE and manager/ECEA to care for up to 19 children per day (max of 8 children per adult) at our little daycare in James Bay.

We are in an amazing area of town, and spend tons of time outdoors. We have an amazing group of children that are silly, curious, and constantly learning. Our ECE, Manager and subs are wonderful co-workers! We retain long term staff and we have a very strong reputation in our community. We are searching for a candidate that is passionate about children, confident working outdoors, and strives to create great relationships with our families, children and other staff.
