Job summary

Sierra Construction is seeking a General Contracting Project Manager to oversee all phases of large projects in Ontario. You will lead a team, manage scope, schedule, and budget, coordinate with architects and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.

The role requires 5-7 years in construction PM, strong leadership and communication, and proficiency with project management software. You will mentor junior staff and drive project profitability.

Qualifications

• College/University degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
• 5-7 years of experience in construction project management.
• Knowledge of CCDC 5A/5B contracts and Ontario regulations.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in Ontario.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants during design and construction.
• Identify and mitigate risks early and resolve design/scheduling issues.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; monitor budgets and control costs.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and milestones monthly.
• Prepare financial reports, monthly forecasts, and invoices/billings.
• Act as the main contact between clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Lead site and project OAC meetings and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Ensure site safety and quality control; review inspections and permits.
