Job summary

OMERS is seeking a Lead, Compliance Operations for a 12-month contract to enhance regulatory oversight across the organization. The role reports to the Director, Compliance Operations and focuses on monitoring, due diligence, and process improvements to meet policy obligations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Global Compliance, administering mandatory training, and delivering insights through meaningful reporting to management. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance or similar functions.
  • University degree or college program graduate in business administration, finance or an analytical discipline such as statistics, mathematics or engineering.
  • Advanced analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately (verbal/written).
  • Strong people skills with an ability to work across multiple teams within the organization.

Lead, Compliance Operations (12-month contract)

This role reports to the Director, Compliance Operations and supports compliance monitoring, risk identification, and process improvement initiatives across the organization. This position is important because it helps ensure the organization meets its regulatory and policy obligations through effective compliance oversight, monitoring, and reporting. In this role, you will help strengthen the compliance framework by executing monitoring activities, improving processes, supporting due diligence requirements, and delivering meaningful compliance insights.

You will be responsible for :

Required Skills & Experience

  • Intermediate to advanced user of Excel, SharePoint, and Word .

  • Demonstrated ability to map and analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement to align with compliance objectives ;
  • Independently prioritizes work and is able to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to support strategic objectives and monitor progress using effective controls and success criteria.
  • Initiative-taker and comfortable working both collaboratively and independently.

The expected salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract.

You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans - details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
