Modern Niagara is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead and mature commissioning activities on major commercial/industrial projects across Canada. Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience commissioning in a large-scale commercial/industrial construction environment.
• Proven experience managing commissioning processes for complex systems in accordance with CSA or equivalent standards.
• Familiar with CSA standards and codes including CSA Z320-11 Building Commissioning, CSA Z8001 Hospital Commissioning, CSA Z317.02/ Z317.13 Infection Control, CSA C282 09 emergency power standards.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, coach, train and provide advice to the construction project teams on commissioning methods and requirements.
• Be an ambassador of the company and MNTI Commissioning process, both internally and externally.
• Develop commissioning plans and schedules for assigned projects.
• Participate in MNTI Commissioning department meetings and provide input into new strategies and programs.
• Review specifications and drawings at onset of a project and provide a commissioning report summary.
• Liaise with MNTI sub-trades, owners and clients on commissioning matters.
• Participate in commissioning coordination meetings with general contractors and third-party agents.
• Provide technical support to project teams and ensure compliance with standards.
• Inspect the site and write commissioning inspection reports.
• Assist project teams with control of project costs.
• Oversee the execution of commissioning process for the duration of the project including setup of binder, testing procedures, and document reviews.
• Ensure sustainable practices are considered in commissioning projects.
• Support and maintain Modern’s quality programs during commissioning.
