Job summary

Modern Niagara in Alliston, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead complex electrical construction projects. You will oversee budgets, labour, purchasing, administration, cost control, supplier and subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes financial forecasting, change orders, and cross-functional leadership across field, estimating, and operations teams, with travel to site locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a project management role within ICI electrical construction.
• Ability to interpret site and building plans and specifications.
• Can prioritize tasks based on demand and deadlines.
• Results and solutions-oriented.
• Experience teaching and mentoring team members.
• Proven leadership when interacting with external clients.
• Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
• Working knowledge of the IBEW.
• Understanding of project financial controls.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Autonomy with frequent travel to site locations.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• General understanding of Project Controls, QA / QC and Health & Safety.
• Committed team player with interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in estimating turnover meetings and preconstruction meetings as required.
• Manage labour on assigned projects with direction from electrical operations manager.
• Complete monthly financial forecasting reports for all assigned projects and attend PSR meetings.
• Review contracts for scope and ensure projects meet strategic objectives.
• Participate in client and construction meetings and disseminate information to workforce and subcontractors.
• Manage all change order pricing in Accubid database.
• Develop strong working relationships with field, estimating and operations teams.
• Pursue ongoing professional and technical development through workshops and publications.
