Job summary

Autism Services is seeking a skilled carpenter to perform a range of site tasks in Saskatoon. Responsibilities include carpentry work beyond subtrades, frame and mechanical checks, touch ups, and finish carpentry, with ongoing oversight of subtrade activities.

You will mentor junior workers, ensure safety standards, and report issues promptly to the site superintendent, contributing to quality and timely project completion. This role requires adherence to building codes across all sites.

Qualifications

• Tasks include adherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sites.
• Carpentry work outside of subtrades scope.
• Oversight of subtrade work and reporting issues to the superintendent.
• Mentor novice workers.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sites.
• Carpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subtrades.
• Oversight of subtrade work.
• Perform touch ups and repairs on subtrade deficiencies.
• Perform frame checks and mechanical checks.
• Finish carpentry work.
• Quality management inspections and reporting.
• Report issues as they arise to the superintendent.
• Mentor novice workers.
• Other tasks as required by the site foreman / site superintendent
