Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Ontario is seeking a Lead Caregiver who will serve as shift leader, ensuring exceptional, consistent resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team.

You will lead shift assignments, provide hands‑on ADL support, review charting and ISP alignment, and promote safety, compliance across all shifts. This role blends frontline caregiving with leadership to advance quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications are required.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide hands‑on ADL support when needed
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
