Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Canada seeks a Lead Caregiver to act as shift leader, ensuring consistent, high-quality resident care while guiding the caregiving team.

As a working caregiver and frontline leader, you will manage shift coverage, provide hands-on support, coach staff on hospitality, review charting, and monitor resident changes to ensure safety and adherence to ISP. This role emphasizes professionalism, compassion, and ongoing mentorship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; age 18+.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications preferred.
• Experience in assisted living or senior care is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
