Job summary

Ventas SSL Ontario II Inc. is seeking a Lead Caregiver for its assisted living facility in Burlington, Canada. In this role, you will lead the caregiving team, ensure exceptional resident care, and support team growth while demonstrating strong leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED, CPR and First Aid certifications, and experience in senior care. The position offers a competitive pay range of CAD 19.45 - 24.35 per hour, along with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications required.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care preferred.
• Age 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments and manage attendance.

What You’ll Do

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide hands‑on ADL support when needed
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Review charting and ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision‑making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care
