Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada is seeking a Platforms Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for the development, integration, and validation of vehicle-level communications systems in ground combat platforms.

You will lead architecture and requirements, guide testing and integration on prototypes, mentor junior engineers, and ensure MIL-STD, ISO 9001, DoD, and EMI/EMC compliance while coordinating with customers and OEMs.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Systems Engineering.
6+ years of systems engineering experience with vehicle-mounted communications or similar.
Proven technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with architecture, requirements management, integration, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Lead development of system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and solutions for vehicle communications.
Lead trade studies balancing performance, weight, power, and EMI/EMC.
Direct system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation on testbeds/vehicles.
Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional lab resources.
Maintain technical documentation and support customer/OEM engagements.
