Job summary

A leading consulting firm is seeking an Archaeology Field Supervisor based in Hamilton, Ontario, for the 2026 archaeology field season. The ideal candidate will organize and supervise field technicians to conduct archaeological assessments. Responsibilities include ensuring data quality and compliance with regulations, as well as building relationships with Indigenous communities. Candidates must have significant experience in archaeology and strong leadership skills. The hourly wage ranges from $32.22 to $38.47 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Understanding of MCM’s Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists is required.
• Field experience in role of Archaeology Field Supervisor specific to Ontario consulting archaeology.
• Experience in directing Stage 3 and Stage 4 archaeological assessments is valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform archaeological assessments and mitigations.
• Quality control fieldwork and datasheets.
