Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Manager, AML/ATF Models and Analytics in Toronto. You will lead data extraction, build predictive models, and tune screening rules for client and payment screening. The role focuses on data profiling, model governance, and communicating insights to senior leaders.

You will develop analytical views and dashboards, collaborate across technology, data, and governance teams, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving efficiency and alert quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for large data analysis.
• Experience designing and implementing analytical or ML models.
• AML/ATF, financial crime, or regulated domains is an asset.
• Ability to lead complex analytics end-to-end with autonomy.
• Excellent communication of complex concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead data extraction, transformation, and advanced analysis using Python and SQL.
• Design, develop, test, and implement AML/ATF client and payment screening models.
• Profile data quality, identify gaps, and suggest modeling enhancements.
• Evaluate screening systems, identify risks, and provide improvements.
• Develop dashboards (Power BI) to communicate model performance and risk.
• Produce model documentation for governance and audits.
• Escalate issues affecting AML/ATF programs with clear reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across technology and governance.
