Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Lead Agentic AI Engineer to drive AI-powered experiences across our corporate communications and enterprise digital platforms. You will shape architecture at the intersection of AWS cloud, data platforms, and Generative AI, delivering scalable search, automation, and knowledge discovery capabilities.

In this highly visible leadership role, you will mentor engineers, implement IaC and modern DevOps practices, and collaborate with product and business partners to identify

Qualifications

• Eight years of related work experience with at least two years in development.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
• Five+ years designing and developing solutions on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, automation, CI/CD, containerization, and DevOps.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience building Generative AI applications using AWS Bedrock, LLMs, prompts, and RAG architectures.
• End-to-end ETL across diverse workflows using AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena).
• Experience integrating cloud/AI solutions with enterprise applications and APIs.
• Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum/SAFe).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of enterprise cloud, data, and AI solutions.
• Develop Agentic AI apps leveraging Bedrock, LLMs, RAG, and orchestration frameworks.
• Design intelligent search and knowledge retrieval for enterprise content.
• Build data pipelines and cloud-native data platforms on AWS.
• Create reusable services, APIs, automation, and cloud-native capabilities.
• Drive architecture decisions and establish best practices across cloud/AI initiatives.
• Implement infrastructure automation via IaC and modern DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners to identify AI opportunities.
• Ensure security, governance, scalability, reliability, and performance.
