Intelligrated is a leading provider of warehouse automation and material handling solutions. The Advanced Customer Service Technician will operate within our customers’ facilities performing maintenance, troubleshoot, and preventive repairs on material handling systems.

You will coordinate with other teams and follow site safety practices to complete tasks efficiently. You’ll support 24/7 service requirements, with multi-shift coverage and potential travel for training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 4+ years electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 4+ years of experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders, records, logs and other documents according to procedures.
• Diagnose problems using drawings and diagnostic tools.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist other Technicians in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of distribution center equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment and battery equipment.

Job Description

The Advanced Customer Service Technician will operate within our customers’ facilities performing the maintenance function per the Intelligrated contract. The Advanced Customer Service Technician is critical to the smooth operation of our customer’s distribution centers and will be required to perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of our customer’s various material handling systems. The Advanced Customer Service Technician will take the initiative to coordinate with other departments the activities required for the safe and satisfactory completion of any job tasks. The Advanced Customer Service Technician will represent Intelligrated on site and will also need to follow our customers’ guidelines for general work practices outlined on site

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
• Diagnose problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)
• Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards.
• Assists other Technicians in the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of distribution center material handling equipment
• Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment according to safety and quality procedures
• Can assist in the development of specific technical and training documentation
• Provides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues; documents all information relating to customer support issues in CMMS and Dashboard database; utilizes resources in other departments (when necessary) to expedite the resolution of conveyor related issues
• Provides information to the Customer Service Department and other members of management to enhance Customer Service success
• Follows up with customers and other departments to ensure issues have been resolved
• Participates in cleaning the conveyor systems, maintenance shop area, and part cage as appropriate
• Maintains inventory of company supplied tools and PPE
• Completes appropriate paperwork in a timely manner
• Adheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures and safety requirements while contributing to improvement
• Able to diagnose and repair equipment with little assistance
• Has strong understanding of machine controls
• Serves as a Technical Trainer to the Customer Service Technician
• Analyzes and troubleshoots reoccurring issues and creates an action plan/RAIL to support the change
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned from time to time
• Ability to work at heights using fall protection PPE
• Occasionally address any incidental electrical issues.
• Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
• Willing to work overtime as required.
• Some travel may be required but is not mandatory / this is for training purposes; this is strongly encouraged to help develop skills & learn networking across the many avenues Honeywell has to offer.
• Acts as CSS Site Supervisor on days required

Given that we provide 24/7 service to our client, it is a term of your employment that you be available to work different shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends. Initially, you will be assigned to day shift for training purposes, but shift assignments may change from time to time without advance notice depending on staffing and operational requirements
