Job summary

Quik’s Farm Ltd in Chilliwack, BC, is seeking a Lead Account Manager to oversee key customer relationships and support the Sales Manager in day-to-day activities.

You will manage established accounts, develop U.S. customer opportunities, and coordinate seasonal programs while preparing forecasts and proposals. The role requires leadership experience, a strong sales mindset, and knowledge of CRM/ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Five years of progressive experience in account management or business-to-business sales.
  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience providing team leadership, coaching or workflow coordination is strongly preferred.
  • Experience of managing complex or strategic customer accounts.
  • Experience in agriculture, floral products, food, consumer goods, wholesale, manufacturing or retail supply is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of sales planning, forecasting, account profitability and customer service.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and business systems.
  • Experience with CRM or ERP systems is preferred.
  • A valid (Class 5) BC Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Manage established customer accounts.
  • Develop assigned U.S. customer accounts by building relationships, understanding customer needs and identifying opportunities for increased sales.
  • Support account development and growth in the U.S. market through prospecting, customer follow-up, proposals, product presentations and coordination of new account opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Understand customer needs, programs, sales patterns and opportunities.
  • Prepare forecasts, quotations, account plans and presentations.
  • Identify and pursue account-growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate seasonal programs, promotions, product launches and customer requirements.
  • Resolve routine customer concerns and raise significant issues to the Sales Manager.
  • Model strong account-management practices for the rest of the team.
  • Assist the Sales Manager with the daily coordination of the Account Management team, where needed.
  • Consolidate forecasts, sales updates and customer information from Account Managers.
  • Help organize sales meetings, prepare agendas and track action items.
  • Follow up with Account Managers on customer commitments, reports and departmental deadlines.
  • Identify accounts or programs requiring the Sales Manager’s attention.
  • Provide updates on team workload, customer risks and operational concerns.
  • Act as an operational resource when the Sales Manager is unavailable, within clearly delegated limits.

Job description

Quik’s Farm Ltd. is a wholesale cut flower grower based in Chilliwack, BC, with over 20 acres of indoor and an additional 35 acres of seasonal outdoor growing space. Quik’s Farm is geared towards the intense production of cut Chrysanthemums, Oriental Lilies, Alstroemeria, and other seasonal crops utilizing state-of-the-art growing systems and leading-edge technology to produce high-quality products for our diverse customer base throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA. We are currently hiring a Lead Account Manager.

The Lead Account Manager is responsible for managing assigned customer accounts while providing day-to-day support to the Sales Manager.

Primary responsibilities include account management and support to the Sales Manager:
Account Management-
  • Manage established customer accounts.
