Job summary

J.D. Irving, Limited in Amherst, NS is seeking an LBM Associate to deliver high levels of safety, service and merchandising. The role involves standing, walking, lifting, greeting customers, processing sales and arranging deliveries.

You will learn products, policies and operate the D365 order system; training including in-house forklift (21+ years) is provided.

You must be reliable, a team player, able to work days/evenings/weekends on rotating shifts, and comfortable in all weather conditions.

As an LBM Associate (Lumber and Building Material Associate), you will need to maintain the highest standards of safety, service and merchandising. The job can be quite physical and involves standing, walking and lifting. You will need to learn our products and policies and seek assistance when asked a question that you are unable to answer, or you need help lifting a heavy item.

• Provide superior customer service – this includes greeting customers, providing information, completing sales, and arranging deliveries

• Learn about new products and attending department specific training when provided
• Work safely by following all safety standards.
