A leading community health service is seeking a Lawyer to join their Legal Team. The role involves providing legal services to Indigenous clients, attending outreach appointments, and contributing to community legal education. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor in Law and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
About Us?
The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.
The IUIH Legal Service is an accredited community legal centre and provides legal services for IUIH clients on a range of matters including family law, domestic violence, child protection and elder abuse; and civil matters including discrimination, human rights, consumer law, tenancy and guardianship.
About the Role?
As a Lawyer with our Legal Team, you will work closely with the Legal Services Manager and Principal Lawyer to deliver services to clients in Brisbane North and Moreton Bay.
