Job summary

Oakridge Landscape Contractors is seeking a Lawn Maintenance Lead Hand in Hamilton to lead a small crew and deliver high-quality lawn and grounds maintenance for residential and commercial properties.

Join a supportive team, work outdoors, and help ensure safe, efficient operations across multiple sites. A valid G license and prior leadership or crew-support experience are required, along with endurance for physically demanding outdoor work.

Qualifications

• Must have valid G driver's license with clean abstract.
• Experience leading or supporting a crew of 3–5 people.
• Lawn maintenance or landscaping experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Foreperson in leading and organizing a daily crew of three to five employees.
• Help assign tasks and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Oakridge standards.
• Perform lawn and grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, edging.
• Safely operate landscaping tools and equipment.
• Drive company trucks and trailers between job sites.
• Communicate with the crew, Foreperson, and clients professionally.

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Bring:

• A valid G driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Previous experience leading or supporting a crew of three to five employees.
• Lawn maintenance or landscaping experience.
• The ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work occasional Saturdays as required.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safe.
