Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team in Saint John, NB. You will operate washing and drying equipment, handle linen, and help maintain cleanliness and efficiency in our laundry facilities.

The role requires the ability to work a variety of shifts, lift heavy objects, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment while upholding professional standards and guest service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume laundry environment.
• Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Self-starter with a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize duties.
• Able to lift and move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing and drying equipment and load/unload laundry.
• Measure and apply cleaning agents as per product specs.
• Monitor feeder information on washers and report irregularities.
• Set drying and cooling times for different linen types.
• Clean up machines and surrounding areas.
• Respect attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Fold and sort linen.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
• Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
• Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
• Clean up machines and surrounding areas.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
• Folding and sorting linen
