Job summary

The Clayfield, a 102-room luxury boutique hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake, part of Hyatt's Unbound Collection, seeks a Laundry Attendant to maintain luxury standards with clean, well-presented linens.

Reporting to Housekeeping, you will operate commercial laundry equipment, sort and distribute linen, monitor inventory, and assist with opening/closing and routine cleaning. Flexible availability for evenings, nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail required.
• Experience in laundry, housekeeping or hospitality is a plus.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute hotel linens, towels and robes.

• Report damaged items and maintenance needs to housekeeping leadership.
• Keep laundry area clean and organized; assist with opening/closing tasks.

Operated by Urgo Hotels & Resorts Canada, The Clayfield will deliver a highly personalized, refined guest experience grounded in calm luxury, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place.

At The Clayfield, exceptional guest experiences are built through attention to detail behind the scenes as much as in front of guests. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play an important role in supporting the comfort, cleanliness, and luxury presentation standards that define our hospitality experience in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Reporting to the Housekeeping Management, the Laundry Attendants plays an essential role in supporting the hotel’s housekeeping and guest experience operations by ensuring linens, towels, robes, and other laundry items are cleaned, organized, and maintained to the highest standards. This role helps ensure all hotel departments are consistently supplied with fresh, well-presented linen and laundry items that reflect the expectations of a luxury hospitality environment.

What You'll Do

• Operate commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, organize, and distribute hotel linens, towels, robes, uniforms, and other laundry items
• Maintain quality and presentation standards for all laundered items
• Monitor linen inventory levels and assist with organization and stock rotation
• Identify damaged or stained items and report replacement needs to housekeeping leadership
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and surrounding work areas
• Assist with linen deliveries and distribution to housekeeping and operational departments
• Follow proper chemical handling, safety procedures, and operational guidelines
• Support housekeeping operations and additional cleaning duties as required
• Report equipment concerns, maintenance issues, or supply shortages promptly
• Assist with opening, closing, and deep cleaning tasks within the laundry operation

What You'll Bring

• A strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience is an asset
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Flexible availability including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry bags, linen carts, and supplies up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
