Job summary

Universal Group is seeking a dedicated Lane Closure Technician to support road safety and traffic control across Vancouver Island. You will lead traffic control activities, set up zones, and ensure clear guidance for motorists while maintaining safety and compliance at all times.

The role requires BC TCP certification and at least 6 months of LCT experience, plus a valid driver’s license and smartphone with data. A signing bonus and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• BC TCP certification or equivalent recognized by WorkSafeBC.
• KKnowledge of traffic control regulations and safety standards.
• Experience leading traffic control and managing work zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic control operations, set up and tear down signs and work zone delineations.
• Set up traffic control zones and guide motorists clearly.
• Monitor the work zone and adjust controls as the scope changes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
