Job summary

Seven M Construction Ltd. seeks a Landscape Labourer Level 2 for Edmonton and surrounding areas. This seasonal, full-time role involves outdoor landscaping work with 40–60 hours/week, weather-dependent shifts, and early mornings.

Responsibilities include soil prep, sod, planting, lawn care, and operating landscape equipment. Basic English required; 3 seasons of experience preferred. Safety gear such as steel-toed boots, hard hat, and vest are required.

Qualifications

• Language: Basic English.
• Experience: 3 seasons of related experience.
• Weather-dependent, seasonal role requiring outdoor work and physical effort.

Responsibilities

• Spread top soil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and trees.
• Cut grass, rake, fertilize and water lawns, weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees.
• Maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.
• Maintain lawns and grass along roadsides.
• Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, edgers, sod cutters and other landscape equipment.
• Spray and dust trees, shrubs, lawns, and gardens to control insects and disease.
• Assist the foreman with mentoring new workers and safety standards.

Job Location: Various locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area, AB

Wage: $24.34/ hour (salary increases per company policy)

Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal, Full-time (40-60 hours/week, 8–12-hour days, weather-dependent), Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend; Overtime and work on holidays may be required.

Duties

• Spread top soil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and trees, and perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures
• Cut grass, rake, fertilize and water lawns, weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees, and perform other
• Maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor
• Maintain lawns and grass along roadsides
• Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, snowblowers and other landscape maintenance equipment
• Spray and dust trees, shrubs, lawns, and gardens, as directed, to control insects and disease
• Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments
• Assist the foreman with the tree planting according to planting standards
• Assist the foreman with mentoring new workers and safety standards
