Job summary

Harco Developments Inc. is seeking personnel based in De Winton AB for outdoor landscape installation across Calgary area sites. Wage is $25.00–$27.00/hour, seasonal full-time work, 7 a.m.–6 p.m. with varied hours. Start date is early spring 2027, weather dependent.

Role requires basic English, 4 seasons of related experience, and the ability to handle physical duties. Tools include boots, shovels, and hand tools; work is fast-paced, outdoors, in noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain landscape (sod, trees, shrubs, turf, live plant materials, mulch, erosion control measures, etc.).
• Install hardscape (pavers, boulders, retaining walls, etc.).
• Install structures (signs, site furniture, structural art, etc.).
• Work alongside heavy equipment operators and other trades.
• General site cleaning and maintenance.
• Use of shovels, spades, rakes and other hand tools.
• General construction/landscape site work, as needed.

Job description

Job Location: Based at 242144 112 St, De Winton AB, T0L 0X0, but required to work in various locations in the Calgary and surrounding areas (Airdrie, Crossfield, Chestermere, Okotoks, etc.)

Wage: $25.00 – $27.00/hour (based on skills and experience, salary increases per company policy)

Benefits: Extended medical

Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal, Full-time, Monday to Friday, and every other Saturday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. (10.5 hours per day; hours may vary depending on weather).

Anticipated start date: early spring 2027 (actual start date is weather-dependent)

Job requirements:

Language: Basic English

Experience: 4 seasons of related experience or equivalent

Areas of work: Parks, green spaces, sports fields, environmental reserves, retention ponds, irrigation, maintenance, civil earth moving, horticulture

Worksite environment: Outdoor, wet, noisy, dusty, hot

Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks

Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg/50 lbs), manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking
