Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Landscape Architect with excellent design, communication, and organizational skills to join our Calgary office. Our team focuses on providing innovative landscape architecture solutions for various projects, emphasizing diversity and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and assist with design, planning, and execution of landscape architecture and infrastructure projects.
  2. Prepare technical drawings, landscape plans, details, and construction documents.
  3. Create graphics for presentations, reports, and public meetings.
  4. Conduct quantity assessments and cost estimates.
  5. Perform site inventories, observations, and contract administration.
  6. Compile data and background documents.
  7. Communicate with suppliers and contractors.
  8. Assist in preparing landscape proposals.
  9. Mentor junior staff.
  10. Interact with clients and professionals across disciplines.
  11. Perform general office duties.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum four years of professional experience.
  • Membership or eligibility with AALA (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in open space, parks, streetscapes, urban design, and related areas.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office; experience with 3D rendering software is an asset.
  • Excellent site experience and relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Knowledge in technical landscape design, grading, planting, and contract documents.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle for travel within Calgary.
Additional Skills
  • Land F/X, MicroStation, Certifications (e.g., LEED), BCSLA membership.
