Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Canadian architecture or design firms.
  • Licensed Landscape Architect with AALA certification.
  • Strong knowledge of urban design and public/private projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop projects from inception to completion, including design and technical work.
  • Coordinate with Urban Designers and Planners throughout project evolution.

Landscape Architect / Landscape Intern

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Salary: $80k - 120k depending on experience

Industry: Consulting Firm

An opening exists for a talented Landscape Architect or Landscape Intern with a strong sense of aesthetic design to join a dynamic consulting firm.

The Ideal Candidate

The Landscape Architect or Intern, at either an intermediate or senior level, will have extensive experience working on Canadian projects, ideally in both public and private sectors. Responsibilities include developing projects from inception to completion, contributing to design, technical work (drawings, modeling), project management support (site visits, reviews, CA), client management, and project delivery. The role requires coordination with Urban Designers and Planners as projects evolve. The candidate should have a passion for the industry and an entrepreneurial mindset, with opportunities for growth within the company.

The candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Landscape Architecture or Planning
  • Licensed Landscape Architect with the AALA
  • 5+ years of experience in a progressive Canadian architecture, planning, or design firm
  • Strong knowledge of urban design and open spaces for public and private projects
  • Experience with MS Office, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe, Grasshopper (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented project management skills with an entrepreneurial approach
  • High energy, innovative thinking, and a dynamic design approach
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
