Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking an experienced Land Development Senior Civil Engineer in Markham, Ontario to lead complex municipal subdivisions, site plans, and urban developments from concept to construction.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams, ensure regulatory compliance, manage client relationships, mentor staff, and contribute to business development while promoting sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng) in good standing.
• 10+ years of design experience on land development projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil3D and municipal approvals knowledge.
• Strong communication skills in English; French an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of land development and civil infrastructure from concept to construction.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technologists and subconsultants.
• Provide technical authority in stormwater, drainage and road design for subdivisions and site plans.
• Manage client relationships with developers and municipalities.
• Prepare submissions for approvals and assist with project financials.
• Provide construction-phase leadership and field oversight.
• Mentor intermediate engineers and interns; support business development.
• Promote sustainability and low-impact development principles.
