Job summary

Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto seeks a Business Manager for Laboratories to lead the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine business unit, overseeing billing, funding submissions, and data analytics to support financial accuracy and service delivery.

You will manage contracts, pricing, budgeting, and KPI reporting, align teams across client communications, proposals, and regulatory compliance, while championing process improvements in a high-stakes clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, health, computer science or related field
• 5 years supervisory experience in a laboratory or health related field
• Proven financial experience with budgeting and expenditures
• Experience with MS Office and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing and invoicing of laboratory testing services and recovery of funds
• Manage data extraction from LIS to support billing accuracy and reporting
• Develop pricing with Lab managers and participate in proposals for lab services
• Monitor workload/KPIs and drive process improvements
• Lead contract management and annual licensing renewals
• Participate in annual operating budgets and financial analyses
• Establish and maintain monthly performance metrics and SOPs
