Job summary

Recruiting in Motion represents a multinational laboratory testing organization seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a laboratory facility in the Greater Toronto Area. This is a hands-on leadership role to build an operation from the ground up, overseeing operations, technical performance, quality, people leadership and financial performance.

The role requires 10+ years of laboratory experience, strong ISO 17025 knowledge, and a track record of budgets and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of laboratory experience
• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025
• Experience with ICP-OES/MS, GC-MS/ECD/FID, HPLC, IC or discrete analyzers
• Strong people leadership and problem-solving skills
• Budgeting, P&L and performance metrics experience
• Degree or diploma in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering or related field preferred

The successful candidate will oversee laboratory operations, technical performance, quality, people leadership and financial performance while supporting the continued growth of the business.
