Job summary

Recruiting In Motion - Eastern Ontario is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a laboratory facility in the Greater Toronto Area. You will oversee laboratory operations, technical performance, quality, people leadership and financial performance while supporting growth.

This hands-on role requires building an operation from the ground up, delivering ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, driving productivity and customer service, and leading a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of laboratory experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation (ICP-OES/MS, GC-MS/ECD/FID, HPLC, IC).
• Experience with budgets, P&L and KPIs.
• Degree or diploma in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering or related discipline preferred.

The Opportunity Our client, a multinational laboratory testing organization, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to help lead a laboratory facility in the Greater Toronto Area. This is a unique opportunity for a hands‑on laboratory leader to help build an operation from the ground up. The successful candidate will oversee laboratory operations, technical performance, quality, people leadership and financial performance while supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day laboratory operations, quality and performance


• Oversee laboratory instrumentation, equipment and processes


• Recruit, develop and lead the laboratory team


• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and applicable quality standards


• Manage budgets, P&L and operational KPIs
