Job summary

WesTower Communications Ltd. is seeking a full-time Labourer (Layout Person) to join our Fabrication Team in Ontario. The successful candidate will follow safety procedures, translate drawings into measurements, set up machines, operate band saws and overhead cranes, and help produce quality parts.

Qualifications

• Able to read a metric tape measure.
• Good work ethic.

• Steel Fabrication experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures.
• Operate band saws, ironworker, radial drill, grinder, and overhead cranes.
• Perform proper setup of machines.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on machines.
• Translate drawings into measurements for production.
• Produce quality parts.
• Mark out holes in Beam/channel/ angle/ plate.
• Tack small mounts and leave for welders.
