Job summary

Armtec Inc. is seeking a Production Labourer to join our manufacturing team. You will fabricate steel pipe products, operate specialized equipment, and support production operations. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will contribute to quality standards and assist with equipment inspections and maintenance while keeping a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
• Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills.
• Ability to safely operate power tools and manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Weld couplers, fittings, and components to specifications.
• Safely use plasma arc and oxy-fuel cutting torches.
• Assist with routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow quality standards, production procedures, and safety requirements.
• Work with team members to meet production goals.
• Operate rolling and corrugating equipment to manufacture steel pipe products.

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you'll be responsible for fabricating steel pipe products while working with specialized equipment and supporting our production operations.

What You'll Do

• Weld couplers, fittings, and other components to specifications.
• Safely use plasma arc and oxy-fuel cutting torches.
• Assist with routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance to support efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow quality standards, production procedures, and all safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
• Operate rolling and corrugating (recorr) equipment to manufacture steel pipe products.

What We're Looking For

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing, fabrication, welding, construction, or industrial experience is considered an asset.
• Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
• Ability to safely operate power tools and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work with both metric and imperial measurements.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions while contributing ideas for continuous improvement.
