Job summary

Nhwelmen Construction, based in the Kamloops area of British Columbia, seeks a Labourer / Delivery Driver to support the Fleet Department. You will deliver oils and fluids to project sites, assist mechanics, and help with inventory and site services in a fast-paced construction environment.

The role offers $27–$30 per hour, a benefits plan, and long-term employment for qualified individuals. Must have a valid Class 5 license, lift up to 70 lbs, and pass pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Experience operating a skid steer is an asset.
• Experience in construction, fleet, or industrial environment is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver oils, lubricants, and fluids to project sites.
• Manage oil and lube recycling while keeping area clean and spill-free.
• Unload parts deliveries using skid steer or manually.
• Organize parts and supplies in the sea can for mechanics.
• Deliver parts and fluids to mechanics on site.
• Assist mechanics and welders as needed.
• Transport company vehicles to maintenance/repair appointments.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work and storage areas.
• Monitor fluid inventory and assist with stock control.

Job description

LABOURER / DELIVERY PERSON

Nhwelmen Construction is seeking a labourer / Delivery Driver to support our Fleet Department. This position reports to the Fleet Department assisting with deliveries to site, site services, inventory, mechanical support and general labour duties. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, reliable and able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver oils, lubricants, and other fluids to project sites.
• Manage oil and lube recycling while maintaining a clean, organized, and spill-free recycling area.
• Unload parts deliveries using skid steer or manual labor as required.
• Organize parts and supplies in the sea can for mechanics.
• Deliver parts and fluids to mechanics working on site.
• Assist mechanics and welders when additional support is needed.
• Transport company vehicles to maintenance and repair appointments.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas.
• Monitor fluid inventory and assist with stock control.
• Perform other Fleet Department labor and support duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to safely lift, carry and handle materials weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to complete mandatory online orientation, site-specific training, and certification requirements.
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol pre-screening.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience operating a skid steer is considered an asset
• Previous experience in construction, heavy equipment, fleet, or industrial environment would be considered an asset
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Location:

This position is based out of the Kamloops / Thompson area of British Columbia. This is not a camp position.
