Nhwelmen Construction is seeking a Labourer/Delivery Driver to support our Fleet Department in Kamloops, BC. The role involves deliveries to sites, site services, inventory management, and general labour tasks in a fast-paced construction setting.

Compensation is $27–$30 per hour based on experience, with long-term employment for qualified individuals. The position requires a valid Class 5 license, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and reliable, independent work habits.

Qualifications

Job description

Nhwelmen Construction is seeking a Labourer/Delivery Driver to support our Fleet Department. This position reports to the Fleet Department assisting with deliveries to site, site services, inventory, mechanical support and general labour duties. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, reliable and able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver oils, lubricants, and other fluids to project sites.
• Manage oil and lube recycling while maintaining a clean, organized, and spill-free recycling area.
• Unload parts deliveries using skid steer or manual labor as required.
• Organize parts and supplies in storage for mechanics.
• Deliver parts and fluids to mechanics working on site.
• Assist mechanics and welders when additional support is needed.
• Transport company vehicles to maintenance and repair appointments.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas.
• Monitor fluid inventory and assist with stock control.
• Perform other Fleet Department labor and support duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to safely lift, carry and handle materials weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to complete mandatory online orientation, site-specific training, and certification requirements.
• Ability to successfully pass pre‑employment Drug & Alcohol pre‑screening.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience operating a skid steer is considered an asset.
• Previous experience in construction, heavy equipment, fleet, or industrial environment would be considered an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Location: This position is based out of the Kamloops / Thompson area of British Columbia. This is not a camp position.
