Job summary

eQ Homes in Clarence-Rockland, ON is seeking a Labourer to support the site supervisor and foremen, keeping the job site clean and well-organized while assisting with unit construction, material storage, and safety reporting.

You will help maintain logs for vehicle and equipment, cover hardwood floors, manage temporary heaters, and ensure doors are locked at day’s end, contributing to safe and efficient project completion.

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to perform daily physical labour.
• Clean driving record; driver's abstract may be required.
• Maintains daily to-do lists and reports to supervisor.
• Hard working with attention to detail at all times.
• Understanding of MOL requirements and reporting structure for Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Cleans interior of units under construction, including garages and porches, from excavation through occupancy.
• Cleans and tidies areas around the site; dispose of debris in designated bins.
• Maintains cleaning supplies in the site office.
• Maintains and transports temporary heaters per site protocol.
• Ensures homes are locked at end of day.

About the Role:

eQ Homes is looking for a Labourer at our Clarence Crossing site, located at 100 Rialto Street, Clarence-Rockland, ON K4K 0R2. As a labourer, the primary goal is to support the site supervisor and foremen in maintaining a clean job site, ensuring cleanliness both inside and outside units, and maintaining professional storage of materials at all times, while also being responsible for key accountabilities such as material storage, reporting safety issues, assisting with units under construction, managing temporary heat, and maintaining logs for vehicle and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleans interior of units under construction- including garages and porches - from excavation through until occupancy of the home.
• Cleans and tidies all areas around the site. Any debris/materials that are unsightly are to be put in designated waste bins.
• Maintains cleaning supplies in the site office.
• Maintains and transports temporary heaters as per winter heat training provided through eQ.
• Ensures homes are locked at the end of each work day.
• Covers hardwood floors.
• Maintains maintenance logs for site vehicle and other equipment as required.
• Ensures all eQ staff and Trade Partners abide by the Ministry of Labour regulations and eQ Health and Safety Policy.
• Performs other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management.

This position is to fill one (1) existing vacancy. The salary range for this role is$45,000 – $55,000/year.
