Qualifications

  • Experience with zoom boom and skid steer is an asset.

Job description

Position Summary

Laborers required to assist skilled trades people and perform labor activities at our various project sites.

Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.


POSITION DETAILS

  1. Based out of our Whitecourt location
  2. Candidates local to Whitecourt preferred

Core Accountabilities

  1. Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices.
  2. Assist with installation, testing and rigging of pipe spools and materials.
  3. Clean construction work areas and fuel equipment as needed.
  4. Zoom boom and skid steer experience an asset.
  5. Perform other activities as directed.
  6. Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them.
  7. Return tools back to the proper area after the job is complete or at the end of the shift.
  8. Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks.

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

  1. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
  2. Able to lift 50 pounds.
  3. Comfortable working outdoors.
