Essential Responsibilities:

1. Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
2. Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with labourer duties such as crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.
3. Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Qualifications:

1. Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
2. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
3. Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
4. Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
5. Previous experience operating snowplow trucks and/or wheel loaders is a strong asset

Work Conditions:

• Shift work, on-call, and night shifts may be required due to weather conditions

Rates & Premiums:

• Base hourly rate from $26 to $29.25, depending on experience
• Night shift and Class 1 equipment operation premiums starting at $6/hour
• Winter operations and tow plow unit premiums starting at $14/hour for Class 1 operators
