Qualifications

  • 6 months minimum manual labor work experience in an industrial setting required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Safety Tickets: H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, TDG, WHMIS.

Job description

Force Inspection Services is a leading oilfield asset and tubular management and services company to the upstream oil and gas industry. Its core business revolves around drill pipe, drill tools, sucker rods, casing and production tubing, coating services, and tubular products for production and completion. Force’s services include in-plant and mobile inspection, repair, machining, and manufacturing.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role will support the direct initiatives of the manager in the inventory management of all tubulars. This role will require the knowledge of using hand tools and will also be responsible to clean and maintain equipment as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Maintaining a safe working environment by aligning with corporate safety rules andregulations andensuring a culture of safety.
  • Learn the processesidentified, including the safe handling ofmaterial.
  • Using power and manual tools, complete tasks efficiently and to quality specifications.
  • As experience is gained,participatewillingly in training to learndifferent functions.
  • Activelyparticipatein company safety procedures andprograms : correctunsafe work practices or situations; follow reporting protocols for violations;participatein the Hazard Identificationprocess.
  • Perform other duties asrequired, including effective clean-up and theaccurateandtimelycompletion ofpaperwork.
  • Commitment to working safely, within standard policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
  • 6 months minimum manual labor work experience in an industrial setting isrequired.
  • Previousexperience with material handling, movement, and tool experience.
  • Goodwork ethic and attitude.
  • Functional Reading and writing skills.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude, with an eye for detail and a willingness tolearn.
  • Valid Class 5Driver’sLicense (non-GDL)and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a teamsetting.
  • Safety Ticketsi.e. : H2S Alive, Standard 1st Aid,TDG, WHMIS
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Special Conditions :

  • Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 35 lbs., bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to meet pre-employment testing requirements (i.e.,drug and alcohol, physical fitness, audiogram, and vision testing)
  • Ability to work in outdoor Canadian temperatures. (-25 degrees to +30 degrees)
  • Must be able to travel within the province.
  • This position will be Monday – Friday with occasional overtime or weekends depending on site location needs.
