North America Construction (1993) Ltd. - NAC Constructors Ltd. (NAC) is looking for a Level 1 Labourer to support heavy construction projects across Canada.

Under the Civil Superintendent, you will perform physical labour tasks, including site preparation, maintenance, demolition and building of construction materials. Role requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs, follow instructions, and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Some previous construction or cleaning experience is an asset.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Carpentry skills are an asset.
• Ability to take and follow instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleanup duties on site and in trailers (offices, lunch room, etc.) and washrooms.
• Restocking supplies
• Traffic control
• Perform work in accordance with health and safety standards and legislation.
• Perform required excavations to create trenches using equipment or manual digging.
• Perform site preparation
• Provide manual labour assistance as required.
• Perform daily site assessments, including identification of potential hazards.
• Assist with the placement and stripping of formwork as required.
• Maintain organizational services, facilities, and equipment.
• Engage in all forms of labouring to assist in the successful completion of construction projects from start to finish.
• Assist site trades people as necessary.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Civil Superintendent, the Level 1 Labourer plays a crucial role in the successful completion of North America Construction (1993) Ltd./NAC Constructors Ltd. construction projects. Individuals will be heavily involved in the construction process and perform tasks involving physical labour for heavy construction projects, including site preparation, maintenance, demolition and building of construction materials.

Job Description

• Assist with the placement and stripping of formwork as required.

Requirements

• Excellent attendance and attitude
• Knowledge of safe operation of power tools
• Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
• Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Valid WHMIS and Working at Heights required
• Confined Space training is an asset

$25.14 - $35.90 an hour
