Job summary

Paladin Airport Security Services is seeking an Advisor, Labour Relations to support labour relations across the Pacific Region. The role focuses on disciplinary matters, collective agreements interpretation, grievance management, and dispute resolution.

You will partner with management and employees to resolve issues and mitigate risk. You will investigate complaints, build cross-functional relations, and deliver coaching on agreements and employee relations topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in labour relations, human resources, or related field.
• CPHR/CRHA designation is considered an asset.
• 3+ years of experience in labour relations or related field.
• Experience in collective bargaining, grievance procedures, and dispute resolution is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of the Canada LabourCode, regulations and employment law is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated strength in communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong adaptability, with the flexibility to manage changing priorities and business needs.
• Ability to acquire Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) and eligibility for Federal Security Clearance.
• Willingness and ability to travel to other airports within the region as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and support to managers on disciplinary matters, interpretation and application of collective agreements, grievance management, dispute resolution, and arbitration preparation across the Pacific Region.
• Communicate effectively with employees and management to identify issues, mitigate risk, and resolve workplace conflicts.
• Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, policy violations, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional departments to support operational and organizational objectives across the Pacific Region.
• Act as a subject matter expert on collective agreement interpretation, legislative compliance and labour relations best practices, and support the organization's collective bargaining strategy.
• Deliver coaching and training programs on collective agreements, employee relations issues such as respectful workplace, conflict management, investigations and other topics as needed.
• Collaborate with People & Culture team on key issues, special projects and/or initiatives, as needed.
• Participate in the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
