Job summary

McKay Métis Contracting is seeking an experienced Laborer for Snow Removal on a camp site, working with one of our growing Oil Sands client contracts. The role follows a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation with 10-hour days, and camp accommodations are provided.

Under general supervision you will shovel, operate snow blowers, spread salt or ice melt, assist equipment operators and keep walkways clear, while adhering to safety procedures and enduring outdoor winter conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class (5) Driver's License required.
• Clean 5-year Driving Abstract.
• Pre-employment drug, alcohol, and physical abilities testing required.
• Willing to be cross trained on equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience in snow removal is an asset.

Job description

McKay Metis Contracting is seeking an experienced Laborer, Snow Removal! This is a camp position working with one of our growing Oil Sand client contracts. The shift for this position is a 14 days on, 7 days offrotation working 10 hour days.

The Role:

Under general supervision, the laborer will perform snow removal around Civeo camps in the oilsands region. The Operator position reports directly to the Superintendent and/or other designate

Responsibilities:

• Shovelling and clearing snow from walkways and entrances
• Operating snow blowers and other small equipment
• Spreading salt, sand, or ice melt
• Assisting equipment operators with snow removal
• Clearing parking lots and worksite access areas
• Following site safety procedures
• Working outdoors in cold and changing weather conditions

What we need from you:

• Minimum Class (5) Driver's License required
• Willing to be cross trained on equipment
• Clean 5-year Drivers Abstract.
• Ability to remain safety-focused and all follow safe work practices.
• Previous understanding and experience within a snow removal environment is an asset.
• Able to work in all weather and working site conditions.
• Ability to access all client sites as required.
• Successfully complete all pre-employment drug, alcohol, and physical abilitiestesting.

Schedule:

• 14 days on, 7 days off rotation working 10-hour days. Camp accommodations provided. No transportation to site provided.
• Competitive Base Hourly Wage
• Retention Bonus upon successful completion of the season
