Job summary

Dalcon Constructors Ltd in Timmins, Ontario is seeking a Laborer to contribute to construction site readiness and safety. You will perform hand digging, trenching, housekeeping, and assist the superintendent on site in Timmins.

The role requires physical ability, reliability, and a willingness to work in varied conditions. Travel to remote communities may be required; compensation aligns with the collective agreement and hourly wages range from $21.98 to $31.97.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
• High regard for safety and pride for quality of work.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Able to multi-task, show initiative and ask questions as needed.
• Able to follow directions to ensure completion of daily tasks.
• Have a high degree of flexibility in a changing environment.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Strength to perform average lifting of up to 50 pounds, from the ground to above head.
• Should be able to navigate through the worksite on a daily basis.
• Occasionally climbs up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairs. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and under pressure.
• Experience operating construction equipment (i.e., telehandler), will be considered an asset.

The salary range for this position is between $21.98 and $31.97 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

This position may require travel to remote communities as needed, remuneration is as per collective agreement for said travel.
