Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) at Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton, AB, seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist I. You will process, test, analyze results and report diagnostic samples in core lab areas (Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Transfusion Medicine).

Requires an accredited MLT program and active or eligible CMLTA registration. Regular part-time position with rotating shifts, 0.70 FTE, and a focus on quality control and instrument maintenance.

Competenze

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Mansioni

• Daily processing, testing, and reporting of diagnostic samples.
• Operate automated equipment and manual methods.
• Ensure accuracy of patient information and results.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Participate in internal and external quality control programs.
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff and students.
