Job summary

Red Deer Regional Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I to join their Laboratory Anatomical Pathology unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and analyzing diagnostic samples, ensuring high-quality results in a clinical setting. Candidates must have completed an accredited MLT program and have recent experience in Anatomical Pathology. This is a temporary full-time position with competitive hourly wages.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration with CMLTA.
• Recent experience in Anatomical Pathology.
• Working knowledge of Epic Beaker and Dragon Voice recognition.

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Required Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications :

Recent Anatomical Pathology experience in a clinical setting.

Preferred Qualifications :

Working knowledge of Epic Beaker and experience with Dragon Voice recognition for gross dictation. Demonstrated ability and interest to actively participate in department efficiency projects.
